The Short Story of Your Next Artist
Welcome to my world! My name is Lexi, (a.k.a. Filthy Faye). Art has been a leading life passion for as long as I can remember. From the moment I first picked up a crayon, creativity became a core part of my identity. But it was at age twelve when I was overwhelmingly mesmerized by the everlasting beauty of body art. At eighteen, I placed my first step inside of a tattoo shop - immediately solidifying my dreams of creating art for a living.
I had fallen down the rabbit hole of Tattoo Wonderland. Immersed in the idea of turning art into something permanent and meaningful, I set out to learn. Over the years I embarked on a journey to hone my skills through practice and persistence. While my path has presented many challenges - including multiple apprenticeships with various mentors. I’ve walked forward with perseverance and integrity, more driven with each obstacle to grow as an artist. Refining my craft with every single experience.
Tattooing is so much more than putting ink in skin. To me, it’s about creating a meaningful collaboration with my client. Taking a seedling vision of their own imagining and blossoming that into a fully realized piece of art that’s not only deeply personal, but something they will cherish for a lifetime. I strive for precision, creativity, and a tattoo as perfect as possible in an imperfect world. Along my dream career quest, my range of style has become diverse and ever growing. From my favorite - custom black and grey designs, to intricate fine line tattoos. Recently, my focus has been on expanding my skillset by developing my knowledge of portrait and realism work, and of course, refining my color work.
Outside of the tattoo world, music is my other leading passion. Whether it’s performing or writing, music brings me the same joys I find in finishing a beautiful work of art. The main instrument I couldn’t live without is my vocals, Ive been singing my whole life. However, I do hold a great love for piano, guitar, and trumpet as well.
